Summer Company Acting - Technical & 2-year Conservatory Positions

I. Actors auditioning for the Summer Company and/or the Acting Internship Program |

2 monologues (one classical, i.e. pre-1900, preferably in verse; one contemporary, i.e. post-1900) totaling together no more than 2.5 minutes in length (approximately 60-90 seconds each).
16 bars, minimum, 32 bars maximum of a song from a musical. Please bring clearly marked sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
Total audition time (both acting pieces plus the song) should not exceed 4 minutes. This will allow time for a brief interview following the audition. Please bring:
one 8 x 10 photograph (headshot).

Dates of availability.
The Conservatory Director/Technical Training or the Recruitment Coordinator at the audition/interview site will interview technicians applying for positions with the 2011 Summer Company.
* These items should be brought to the interview. They will be returned at the end of the interview.

| III. Students auditioning for the two-year Actor-Training program: |

Two letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, or directors (not family).
Official school transcripts: High school students need only their high school transcripts. Anyone who has taken college courses need all of their transcripts from the various colleges. College students who have taken advanced placement courses in high school need both college and high school transcripts.
Mission Statement: a two-page (minimum), typed "Mission Statement" in which you discuss your educational, professional, and personal goals and why PCPA can benefit you.

| IV. Students applying to the Technical Theatre Apprentice program: |
