When thinking about memorable PCPA productions, two that always leap to mind are Tony Kushner’s and Jeanine Tesori’s "Caroline or Change" and August Wilson’s "Fences." Those that were lucky enough to see these amazing productions will remember Karole Foreman’s incredible work as Caroline and Rose. Karole is truly one of the most extraordinary actors to grace PCPA’s stages, and we are so fortunate that she will be returning to play the title role in "Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill." Karole’s career has taken her from a child growing up in Morocco to regional theatres like the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Cygnet Theatre, and San Diego Rep to the national tour of "Mamma Mia" and television credits too numerous to name. Noted acting coach and author, Larry Moss, says that Karole “is all at once primal and sophisticated.” This level of mastery is what draws so many of us to her. Karole is also a director, an award winning writer, and an incredible teacher. There is so much Erik wants to talk about with Karole. We hope that you will tune in and get to know this exceptional artist, this amazing mentor, this remarkable human being.
