I bring two fundamental life experiences to the classroom:  my own journey as an MFA student at the American Conservatory Theatre where I was taught that acting is “the passionate pursuit of intention”,  and  the wonderful experiences I have had as an equity actress working alongside inspiring and experienced professionals.  These two journeys have provided the foundation for all that I teach.

I don’t really believe we ever stop growing as people as we explore the characters in the stories we tell. I try to continually inspire students to treasure that growth by staying curious and hungry.   My biggest passion in teaching is empowering students to believe in their unique imaginations, while allowing them the time and space to tap into their impulses and their own rich inner life.

I believe that acting class provides the space to dare to fail.  It asks the participants to risk entering unchartered territory.  And ultimately it allows the students to exercise the metaphorical and literal muscles required for creating an active, heartfelt, and vibrant performance.
