This tour de force exploration of parenthood, the mutability of human experience and affairs and the nature of astrophysics draws on Einstein’s theory of relativity, a “law” of physics that reveals how the motion of objects changes given different frames of reference. The playwright’s twist of reference comes from a triple replay of dinner guests who arrive a night early to meet their foodless and unprepared hosts. It’s the minute distinctions in mood, tone, action that can alter events and outcomes in this contemporary version of classic farce. |
