PCPA Summer Acting Camps PCPA is offering two week-long acting camps for young actors, the Young People’s Project (YPP) for 13 - 18 year olds and YPP Jr. for 7 to 12 year olds. Explore the world of an artist and an actor through workshops taught by professional staff of the PCPA Theaterfest summer company. Students will build a foundation for dramatic creativity as they are encouraged to express ideas and collaborate as a group in order to create an original performance showcase. YPPJr. is scheduled July 10 - 16 and includes seven days of stimulating workshops specially tailored for the younger performer in acting, singing, and dancing. These half-day sessions - 9am - 2pm - lead up to building a theatrical showcase. A dinner is planned and a ticket to a performance of Hairspray in Solvang is included. YPP is scheduled for July 23 - 30 and includes eight full days - 9am - 5pm - of inspiring workshops in acting, singing, and dancing. Students will work alongside theatre professionals creating a theatrical showcase. The YPP camp includes tickets to Hairspray and The Two Gentlemen of Verona and dinner with members of the company.
