Anna Jensen teaches at the University of California, Santa Barbara and directs an arts program at the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, where she works at the intersection of scholarship, performance, and community engagement. She has served as dramaturg for more than thirty professional productions, including Shakespearean productions. She has translated and adapted multiple plays by Henrik Ibsen. She holds a BA in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Theater Studies from UC Santa Barbara; her doctoral research examined the persistence of the fearsome Norse female figure in Ibsen’s post-nationalist prose plays.
