Joel Goldes
Joel Goldes (Dialect coach) proudly returns to Pacific Conservatory Theatre, having performed here, as well as teaching Voice and Speech, in 1990-92. He played leading roles in Loot, Cabaret, and Baby, as well as appearing in Guys & Dolls, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Normal Heart and Outreach shows, led by Roger Delaurier. Joel has coached Come From Away since 2015 (Broadway, La Jolla Playhouse, Gander, Newfoundland, First North American Tour, Dublin, The West End, Australia, Toronto, Ottowa, Winnipeg, the Philippines, Cape Playhouse and more), as well as the live shot for Apple TV+. He coached Slam Frank and Pen Pals (Off-Broadway), The Secret Garden, 2:22: A Ghost Story, Soft Power, and Sweat, (Center Theater Group); Bonnie & Clyde and many other shows (Rubicon Theater) and Orson’s Shadow and Mask (Pasadena Playhouse). Film and TV includes “The Woman King,” with Viola Davis; “Dexter: Original Sin”; “The Perfect Couple” (Netflix); “Washington Black”; “The Handmaid’s Tale”; “Fury”; “The Hangover” and a Disney pilot. Joel created a “future accent” for After Earth, and coached Robin Williams in “The Crazy Ones,”. He also coached Kevin Costner in “Hatfields & McCoys”, for which Mr. Costner won Best Actor Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.
