Michael Brusasco (he/him) is a director, actor, sound designer, and theatre administrator with a diverse career in American regional theatre.  As the Associate Production Manager at PCPA, he assists in producing mainstage shows, oversees company management, and coordinates the Technical Theatre Internship Program, fostering recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship.

Michael’s directing credits include The Children and Red at SLO Repertory Theatre, A Christmas Carol and The Werewolf of Arroyo Grande (which he co-adapted) at the Great American Melodrama, The Merchant of Venice at the Stella Adler Conservatory, and Twelfth Night at Willamette University. He also provides sound design for his directing projects, blending narrative vision with detailed sonic landscapes.

As an actor, Michael has performed Off-Broadway and with leading regional theatres, including Syracuse Stage, Alley Theatre, Cleveland Play House, Baltimore Center Stage, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Notable roles include Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, Brutus in Julius Caesar, Pastor Greg in Hand to God, and Uncle Peck in How I Learned to Drive.

Additionally, Michael regularly supports PCPA’s Conservatory as a guest instructor and coach. He served as the dialect coach for Emma, Cabaret, and Holding the Man and as the voice and speech coach for As You Like It. He brings a practical, text-driven approach to coaching, which helps actors strengthen their clarity, confidence, and range across various performance styles.

He holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association.
