Youth and Community Arts offers Spring Break and Summer Camps for a more intensive and robust experience.  

We acknowledge that there has been an increase in tuition compared to previous years. To assist with this change, a payment plan is being offered.

Teatro PCPA Spring Break

Dates April 6, 2026 – April 11, 2026
Time 9AM – 2PM
Class price: $50 

We are proud to announce our very first Teatro PCPA Spring Break Camp! Teatro PCPA is a camp offered in partnership with Artists Ink. This week-long, full-day camp teaches students a variety of theatre-related skills to help tell their stories, build confidence, and find their voice. Campers will work together to collectively create a piece that reflects their own experiences and ignites their personal or community stories. Students are provided with a morning snack and lunch.

Summer Camps

Young Theatre Makers

Ages: 8-12 years old
Dates: Monday July 27-Saturday, August 1
Times: 9AM-2PM
Cost: $250
Come explore the whimsical, musical world of Roald Dahl’s Matilda! This week-long skill-building camp will give teens the opportunity to sing, dance, and exercise social connection through play. Using theatre games, movement, and music, campers will explore the fundamentals of musical theatre while challenging their imaginations and building confidence
No experience is required.

All camps will be held at PCPA’s Studios, also known as CBC, located at 890 E Stowell Rd, Santa Maria, CA, 93454

The final two days of camp are held at the Severson Theatre on Allan Hancock College campus, 800 S College Dr, Santa Maria, CA, 93454

How do I register my student for camps?

Can my camper register for more than one session?

During the summer, we offer multiple camps. If your student is between 8 and 12 years of age, they can register for both 1st STAGE and Teatro PCPA. Note that Teatro PCPA campers must have a strong understanding of Spanish.

Does PCPA provide any funding support for students?

Teatro PCPA, our Spanish-language camp, is provided at a highly subsidized price of $50.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

At this time, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations.

Where are the camps held?

All camps will be held at PCPA Theatre on the Allan Hancock College campus.

What is your pick-up and drop-off policy?

Campers should be dropped off and picked up in front of the PCPA Studios/CBC.

Campers must be picked up and dropped off by an approved contact.

Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class.

What should my camper bring each day?

Campers should come wearing close-toed shoes and clothing they can move in. Campers should also bring a refillable water bottle, a small snack, and a sense of play!

Illness Policy

Students experiencing fevers or other contagious symptoms must miss class. They can return when they have been unmedicated and fever free for at least 24 hours. Please communicate with the Y&CA office if your student is missing class.
